Employers in Europe need to know that the workers they receive were recruited fairly and are employed lawfully. These are the standards we work to. [Owner: confirm each commitment reflects your current practice before publishing.]
Fair and ethical recruitment
- No recruitment fees for workers – in line with ILO Convention No. 181 and the ILO General Principles and Operational Guidelines for Fair Recruitment (the “Employer Pays” principle).
- Transparent terms – candidates receive the job description, pay, working hours, accommodation and contract terms in writing, in a language they understand, before they travel.
- No document retention – workers keep their own passports and identity documents.
- Freedom of movement – no debt bondage, no forced or child labour, in line with the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights and Directive 2011/36/EU on preventing trafficking in human beings.
- Grievance channel – workers can raise concerns confidentially at info@techsourceworldwide.com.
Lawful employment in the EU
- Temporary agency work – equal treatment of agency workers on pay and basic working conditions under Directive 2008/104/EC and the Hungarian Labour Code (Act I of 2012).
- Posting of workers – where workers are posted to another member state, we apply Directive 96/71/EC as amended by Directive (EU) 2018/957 (host-country pay rules, prior notification of postings).
- Third-country nationals – we support clients with work and residence permits, including Hungary’s guest-worker scheme under Act XC of 2023. [Owner: add your qualified temporary work agency status or registration number, if applicable.]
- Transparent working conditions – written information on essential terms under Directive (EU) 2019/1152.
- Pay transparency – we aim to tell candidates the pay or pay range of a vacancy before the interview, in line with Directive (EU) 2023/970.
Equal opportunities and non-discrimination
We select candidates on skills and experience only. We do not discriminate on grounds of sex, racial or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation, in line with Directives 2000/43/EC and 2000/78/EC and Hungarian Act CXXV of 2003 on equal treatment.
Health and safety
Every worker receives an HSE briefing before deployment. We coordinate with clients on site induction, PPE and risk assessments as required by Framework Directive 89/391/EEC and the host country’s occupational safety law.
Data protection
We process candidate and client data in line with the GDPR. See our Privacy Policy and Candidate Privacy Notice.
Anti-bribery
We do not offer, pay or accept bribes or facilitation payments in any country where we operate.
